Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) by Quantitative NAAT with Reflex to HCV High-Resolution Genotype by Sequencing
Ordering Recommendation
Preferred test to confirm active HCV infection following a positive HCV screen. This test reflexes to genotype to aid in prognosis and treatment selection. Use when a high level of subtype resolution is required.
New York DOH Approval Status
Specimen Required
Lavender (EDTA), pink (K2EDTA), plasma preparation tube (PPT), or serum separator tube (SST).
